Such cute prints and good quality

These prints are really cute and printed on thick quality paper. 12 x 16 in size -- 5 vertical, 7 horizontal. I bought them for my playroom and found some inexpensive frames at Michael's with 11 x 14 mat openings. Most of the prints were too large to fit in that size mat, but I did find 4 that worked. I looked for frames with a 12 x 16 mat with no success. But if you don't want a mat, there are lots of 12 x 16 frames out there. I wish there was a second book of these with additional prints -- they are so great looking!

Beautiful, big, vibrant prints

Great set of prints. Purchased to help decorate our baby's room. Prints are a bit of a off size (14 x 16"), but I was able to find the frames at my local Michael's store. They are on a heavier cardstock, very vibrant, great selections from Carle's books. Extra prints are going to make good gifts, too (framed).

Perfect for Nursery

These Eric Carle prints are perfect for a bright, Carle themed nursery. The prints aren't all from popular Eric Carle books, but many of the pictures are things that are highly exciting for babies and toddlers like trains, rubber ducks, and giraffes.

I found that a cheap, colorful way to frame the prints was Ikea's Nyttja frames. I bought red (framed the caterpillar and the alphabet), green (sloth in the tree and the giraffe), and blue (penguins and train). The frames were inexpensive and the colors complement the prints well. Tiny bit of trimming to get the perfect fit, but quick and easy and fun to look at.

Third, De Waelhens gives a Hegelian interpretation of the pre-Oedipal experience of the child. He makes use of Freud's study on his grand-child using a bobbin and later the words fort-da (away-here), to demonstrate that a transitional object allows the child to take distance from its attachment to the mother so that it can start to separate itself from the mother. Taking distance is, according to De Waelhens, introducing the Hegelian negative, which is the birth of the subject. Fourth, De Waelhens gives a dialectic reading of the history of German and French psychiatry. He shows the epistemological contradictions in the work of some of the great nineteenth century psychiatrists relying too exclusively on a biological model of schizophrenia.In his contribution to this volume, Wilfried Ver Eecke draws several lessons from evaluating the literature on schizophrenia. He argues that epistemologically neither a biological nor a psychological method of reasoning can capture all the factors that can play a role in the creation of schizophrenia. He relies heavily, but not exclusively, on the Finnish studies of Tienari , Myrhman, and Wahlberg and their colleagues to provide statistical evidence that non-biological factors also play an important role in causing schizophrenia. He relies heavily, but again not exclusively, on the study by Karon and VandenBos to demonstrate statistically the efficiency of psychodynamically inspired therapy of schizophrenics.Ver Eecke also addresses an apparent inconsistency in De Waelhens' presentation of Lacan's theory of schizophrenia. Where De Waelhens seemed to argue at one time that the mother figure was the crucial figure to explain schizophrenia (leading to a defective relation to the body) and at another time that it was the role of the father which was crucial (leading to a defective relation to language and the symbolic), there Ver Eecke argues that the defective function of each influences the function of the other. He then draws a conclusion for the therapy of schizophrenics: to be helpful a therapist will have to address both deficiencies. The problem for treating schizophrenics is that correcting an unconscious deficiency to the body-a deficiency in the imaginary-requires a totally different kind of intervention than an attempt to correct a symbolic deficiency-a deficiency in the paternal function. A correction of the imaginary requires a kind of maternal mirroring; a correction of the symbolic requires making a distinction or a prohibition stick. One further difficulty arises. Psychotherapy uses language in its treatment. However, language in schizophrenics is deficient. We can therefore expect that language will be inefficient. This is so unless the therapist uses language, first, to make a repair at the imaginary level and only thereafter makes an attempt to make a correction in the symbolic. In analyzing successful therapeutic techniques reported by several therapists Ver Eecke discovers that all of them first try to repair the imaginary before they attempt to make corrections to the symbolic.

Rays of the Dawn...an excellent natural guide that creates a better understanding of the whole person interaction including many of those difficult to describe and "taxing" emotions. These emotions known as Laws of the Mind like Fear, Worry, Anger, Jealousy, Prejudice, Criticism, Selfishness, Hatred etc are considered destructive forces that affect and limit health and happiness. To change those hurtful feelings, rich and refined emotions of Faith, Hope, Patience, Duty, Forgiveness, Generosity and Love are beautifully presented as an alternative.
This is an excellent source book for parents, teachers, and professionals everywhere who are responsible for the guidance and direction of others. Human Resources are our most precious commodity. Fleet is a great master of healing work, one of the greatest if not the greatest single greatest chiropractic "home run hero". He had a reputation in practice and in classrooms that he was the best of the best. If he could not help you, no one could. This book was originally mass published in 1948. Contextual to B.J. My father had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fleet and my Grandfather J.O. McFall was a very early Chiropractor himself. As a professional hypnotist and change worker- I can say that the concept therapy materials of Fleet had a very large impact on my young career 32 years ago. This is a great read.

Yang Jwing Ming has definetly out done himself And other books. This book covers from beginer to intermediate. A Literal Bible on Shaolin Long Fist

This book is so incredibly detailed, and so amazingly well written that I would consider moving to Boston to train under this great man myself. The only book I have EVER found in my life that is so powerfully efficient. Don't skip this up, this is not the average marketing product. He has considered every aspect that the reader could possibly need to know to learn the first few forms in this art.

Exacting description of technique ensures proper training.

Not just a list of forms and stances, Shaolin Long Fist KungFu provides practical (yet traditional) training exercises and reccomendations. Instead of giving the reader a sequence of movements, and leaving it up to him/her to discover the uses, each motion has at least one practical use explained in pictures and words. For those with little martial arts background, the text is very descriptive of stances and movements so the reader can be sure they are performing the motions correctly. While a good portion of the book covers sequences and their solutions, attention is given to the history of the art, and the importance of internal force. While the reading sometimes feels like a technical manual, the detail more than ballances a somewhat difficult read. I've read far too many books which describe the horse stance as "Spread the legs apart and lower the body slightly." This excellent book prefers "Place the feet 1 1/2 shoulder widths apart, with the feet parallel. Lower the body by moving the knees inward and to the front until a 90-degree angle is formed between the thigh and the calf."I prefer the second explanation as well
