This anthology contains original and classic essays on social psychology from sociological perspectives. Classic and original readings address two major emphases within social psychology:symbolic interactionism and how social structures impact the lives of individuals. Introductions to each chapter are written by the authors, who are sociologists. The authors help situate the essays within the broader field of social psychology and link them to other articles in the text.

About the Author

Jeffrey Chin is a Professor of Sociology at Le Moyne College and a Carnegie National Scholar.  He served as Editor of Teaching Sociology, and edited the ASA’s Teaching Resources Center publication Teaching Undergraduate Social Psychology (1990) and Included in Sociology: Learning Climates that Cultivate Racial and Ethnic Diversity (2002).  He has also facilitated the ASA Teaching Workshop “Teaching Social Psychology Courses”.

 

Cardell K. Jacobson is Professor of Sociology at Brigham Young University where he teaches and does research on social psychology, race and ethnic relations, and the sociology of religion. His recent publications have focused on factors associated with inter-group marriage.

About the Author
Lior Rokach is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Software Engineering at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. Dr Rokach is a recognized expert in intelligent information systems and has held several leading positions in this field. His main areas of interest are Machine Learning, Information Security, Recommender Systems and Information Retrieval. Dr Rokach is the author of over 100 peer reviewed papers in leading journals conference proceedings, patents, and book chapters. In addition, he has also authored six books in the field of data mining.

Professor Oded Maimon from Tel Aviv University, previously at MIT, is also the Oracle chair professor. His research interests are in data mining and knowledge discovery and robotics. He has published over 300 papers and ten books. Currently he is exploring new concepts of core data mining methods, as well as investigating artificial and biological data.

Pocas veces contada y desde un punto de vista muy íntimo. Un libro de historia que no lo parece. Pareciera que uno se encontró la correspondencia de Matamoros, de su familia. Siendo testigos a través de esa literatura.
